FFA Mission Statement:
The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
THE FFA Motto:
Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve
FFA is a national student leadership organization that promotes agriculture in a positive way. It helps students to grow in a multitude of ways. Students learn leadership, public speaking, and general people skills that are all needed throughout life.
SAE’s are supervised agricultural experiences. These “doing to learn” experiences can fall under four categories; entrepreneurship, job placement, research/experiments, and exploratory. In an entrepreneurship SAE’s students own and operate their own business. Job placement SAE’s involve students getting a job in an agricultural field. Research or experimental SAE’s allow students to design and conduct an experiment that involves agriculture. In exploratory SAE’s students gather information on agricultural careers through career fairs and reports.
