Community Events
FFA Banquet- This is held every March. This events is were new FFA officers get elected, awards and degrees are handed out, and the FFA community comes together to eat.
Pancake Pig-out- This breakfast is a fundraiser for the Seth Roger's Memorial Fund. This breakfast is held on a Saturday morning every April. Tickets for the meals are sold before and at the door.
State FFA Convection- State FFA convention is the beginning of May. FFA members attend sessions and explore the expo. Students will tour local businesses and facilities that help the agriculture community. FFA members from all over Ohio will come together.
Chapter Picnic- This is a way for FFA members to regroup before summer begins. FFA members will bring food in and everyone will eat together.
Officer Retreat- This event is a 1-2 days over the summer where officers inducted in March will have team bonding and come together before the school year starts. It is a great way for the officer team to grow closer and to make plans about the new school year.
Farm Science Review- This event takes place in September OSU. Agricultural companies from all over the country come to showcase new technology. This is an all day event and usually attend by most of our FFA members.
Harvest Dinner- This dinner is held in September and is a fundraiser for Dayton Children's Hospital. Students throughout the day will cook and package meals for community members. Community members will purchase tickets from FFA members for the meals
Fruit Sales- Fruit sales is a fundraiser for our FFA chapter. FFA members will sell a variety fruit, nuts, cheese, beef, honey, and BBQ sauce. The selling of product typically takes place in October/November, with products coming in December. This is our chapter's biggest fundraiser.
National FFA Convention- Similarly to State Convention, FFA members will attend sessions and explore the expo. However, this is at the National level and FFA members come from all over the country: from Alaska to Puerto Rico and from Maine to Hawaii. The event is held over a 3-4 day period in late October at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
